Police Reports Detail Brad Parscale Incident

SEPTEMBER 28--Here are the Fort Lauderdale Police Department reports detailing yesterday’s incident at the home of Brad Parscale, the former campaign manager for Donald Trump.

Cops were summoned to Parscale’s waterfront residence by his wife, who had called 911 to report that her husband may have shot himself.

When police arrived at the home, they encountered Candice Parscale, who had “several bruises on both of her arms as well as scratches and bruising on her face.” The injuries, she said, were a result of an altercation with her 6’ 8” husband a few days earlier.

“Candace Parscale stated Brad Parscale hits her,” according to one police report which concluded that it was evident that Parscale’s spouse “could not safely be left with Brad Parscale due to his potential for violence to her and/or himself.”

During an argument yesterday, Candice told police, Parscale, 44, loaded a firearm in her presence, prompting her to flee the couple’s home. Soon thereafter, Candice “heard a loud bang.”

According to the police reports, “Candace stated that they realized that Bradley did not shoot himself when they heard Bradley ranting and pacing around the residence and the dog barking franticly.” But Parscale’s wife was still “concerned that Bradley might still try to shoot himself, due to him being in possession of several firearms and refusing to vacate the residence.”

With the aid of an officer who is a friend of Parscale’s, police convinced Parscale--who had a beer in his hand and appeared intoxicated--to exit the residence.

Parscale’s wife told officers that he has been “depressed and suicidal recently,” which has “led him to consume alcohol a lot more frequently and make suicidal statements.” She also said that her husband “suffers from PTSD.”

Parscale was tackled (as seen below) and taken into custody and transported to the Broward Health Medical Center under the state’s Baker Act for psychiatric evaluation. “I didn’t do anything,” Parscale repeated as cops sought to handcuff him. Police seized 10 firearms from Parscale’s home: two shotguns, two rifles, five handguns, and a .22 caliber revolver.

In mid-July, Parscale was replaced as Trump’s campaign manager by Bill Stepien. At the time, campaign officials claimed that Parscale would remain as a senior adviser to the reelection effort. (7 pages)
